Services & Procedures
Even when you are meticulous with your home care, maintaining your overall oral health requires routine dental appointments. A dental check-up is imperative to keeping your smile healthy!
Your First Visit with Us
We recommend that the first appointment you have at Tidewater Dentistry is a gentle, professional cleaning with our skilled hygienist. After a thorough cleaning and radiographic (x-ray) examination, Dr. Williamson will complete a comprehensive visual exam to create a treatment plan, or in some cases, multiple treatment options.
Dr. Williamson and his team will also take time to educate you about ways to help you achieve and maintain your healthiest smile. We will make sure you understand all of your treatment options and help you weigh the pros and cons so you can make a confident decision about your treatment.
Once we address your pertinent and more emergent dental needs, we are always happy to discuss other procedures to help you have that extra confidence when you smile. The health of your teeth is important, but we want you to be happy with your smile as well!
Options include procedures as simple as one of our teeth whitening treatments or more in-depth treatment such as complete smile rehabilitation including crowns and veneers. Dr. Williamson will be happy to help you find a treatment option to fit both your desires and your budget.
If you are looking for a more esthetic option, porcelain veneers and tooth-colored composite fillings can help achieve the look you desire and often require minimal preparation of the healthy tooth structure. Dr. Williamson can discuss the benefits of each type of procedure and find the best fit depending on your bite and existing dental conditions.
Replacing Missing Teeth
Missing teeth can make it difficult to chew and can make it embarrassing to smile. If you are missing any teeth, the options for replacing them include both fixed and removable replacements.
Fixed or permanent replacement teeth include implants or bridges, while the available removable options are partial or complete dentures. Again, after evaluating your situation, Dr. Williamson can help you make an informed decision that will lead to the best long-term prognosis. Our goal is to achieve an outcome that exceeds your expectations!
We know dental work can sound daunting, but we hope to make the experience enjoyable throughout all aspects of the process.
